payFit charges you money when you don't work out. These terms exist so nothing about that is a surprise.
When you save a card and arm your stake, you authorise payFit to charge that card the amount you chose, once for each active day on which you do not record enough qualifying workout time, without asking you again at the time of the charge.
Charges are made the morning after a missed day, once a grace period has passed. Their frequency is unpredictable by design: some months there may be none, others several. You set the amount and the days; you can change either at any time, and changes apply going forward.
payFit relies on workout data reaching Apple Health. If a workout is never recorded there — you left your watch at home, or an app failed to sync — payFit cannot see it and the day may be judged as missed.
If a workout arrives in Apple Health after you have already been charged for that day, payFit refunds the charge automatically, provided it falls within the refund window shown in the app.
If you believe a charge was wrong for any other reason, contact support@payfit-app.com. Every charge is itemised in the app's history with the evidence behind it.
You can turn your stake off at any time in Settings. Once off, no further days are judged and no further charges are made. Removing your payment method also turns the stake off.
Turning the stake off does not reverse charges already collected.
payFit is an accountability tool, not a medical device, and not a fitness or training programme. It offers no medical advice and makes no assessment of whether a goal is appropriate for you.
Consult a doctor before starting or changing an exercise routine. Do not exercise against medical advice, when injured, or when unwell, in order to avoid a charge — turn your stake off instead. It takes one tap and costs nothing.
payFit depends on Apple Health, iOS, and a payment processor. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not responsible for days misjudged because another service failed to deliver workout data.
To the extent permitted by law, payFit's liability to you is limited to the total amount charged to you in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
If these terms change in a way that affects when or how you can be charged, you will be told in the app and asked to agree before the change applies to you.
